Malaysia is Visa-Free for Indians, till Dec 2026

Great news: Indians can visit Malaysia visa-free for up to 30 days until 31 December 2026. There's no visa fee - but the free Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) is mandatory, and missing it can mean a fine or denied entry. We make sure you're sorted.

Under Malaysia's visa-free policy for Indian nationals (running 1 December 2023 to 31 December 2026, for Visit Malaysia Year), you can enter for tourism, business, social visits or transit for up to 30 days per visit - with no visa and no fee. Multiple entries are allowed within the period; only employment is excluded.

The one essential step is the free Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC), submitted online at least 3 days before arrival. Skipping it can lead to fines up to RM 3,000 or even refused entry. At Flynk Tours (Delhi NCR) we make sure your MDAC and documents are perfect - and can plan your whole Malaysia trip or a longer-stay e-visa if you need one.

Visa-free entry covers tourism, business, social visits and transit - not employment or study. There are no extensions on visa-free stays (except medical emergencies); you must exit before 30 days. The MDAC is always free - any site charging for it is a scam.

Know your visa

Your Malaysia entry options

Most Indians just use visa-free entry. Here's when you'd need an actual visa.

Most common

Visa-Free Entry (30 days)

For tourism, business, social visits or transit up to 30 days. No fee, no application - just complete the free MDAC and carry your supporting documents.

Longer stays

eVisa / eNTRI

If you need to stay beyond 30 days, the eVisa (single entry, ~30 days) or eNTRI is applied for online before travel, usually processed in around 2 working days.

Sticker visa

Standard Visa

For purposes not covered by visa-free entry (e.g. longer/other-purpose visits); standard sticker visa applications take around 4-5 working days.

Not covered

Work / Study

Visa-free entry does not allow employment or long-term study - those need the appropriate Malaysian visa arranged in advance.

Checklist

Documents to enter Malaysia

Carry these even though it's visa-free - immigration can ask for any of them.

⚠ The MDAC is not optional

Travellers without a valid MDAC can be fined up to RM 3,000 and face long delays - or be refused entry. Submit it at least 3 days before arrival. We help you complete it correctly.

Staying longer than 30 days?

Visa-free entry is capped at 30 days per visit with no extensions (except medical emergencies). If you need longer, the better route is to apply for a Malaysia eVisa before you travel - it offers a longer stay and avoids any risk at the border.

Some travellers do a quick exit-and-return (e.g. a day trip to Singapore) for a fresh 30-day stamp, but immigration may question frequent entries. We'll advise the cleanest option for your plans and arrange the eVisa if needed.
