Vietnam e-Visa for Indians, quick & cheap

Ha Long Bay, Hanoi, Da Nang - Vietnam is one of the easiest and most affordable visas for Indians. A fully online 90-day e-visa from about USD 25, approved by email in a few days, accepted at 83 entry points. We handle it end to end. Verified for 2026.

Indian passport holders need a visa for Vietnam, and the easiest by far is the e-visa - fully online, no embassy visit. Since August 2023 the e-visa validity was extended to 90 days, available as single or multiple entry, and it's accepted at 83 international entry points by air, land and sea. Approval rates for Indians are very high.

It's also cheap: USD 25 single-entry or USD 50 multiple-entry. There's a Visa-on-Arrival route too, but it actually needs a pre-arranged approval letter and USD cash at the airport - so the e-visa is simpler. At Flynk Tours (Delhi NCR) we file it correctly (name/photo errors are the main cause of delays) and can plan your whole Vietnam trip.

The e-visa is fixed and affordable; choose single or multiple entry.

e-Visa fees are paid online and are non-refundable. The single-entry visa is used up once you leave Vietnam; multiple-entry lets you re-enter within the 90 days. Visa on Arrival is not a true VOA - it needs a pre-arranged approval letter, so we usually recommend the e-visa. Our service charge is shared upfront.

Vietnam visa types

For tourists, the e-visa is almost always the right choice.

Recommended

e-Visa (Single Entry)

One entry within a 90-day validity for $25. Once you leave Vietnam, the visa is used up. Ideal for a single Vietnam holiday.

Multi-country

e-Visa (Multiple Entry)

Enter and exit multiple times within 90 days for $50 - perfect if you're combining Vietnam with Cambodia, Laos or Thailand and returning.

Emergencies

Visa on Arrival

Possible but needs a pre-arranged approval letter obtained online before boarding, plus a stamping fee and USD cash at the airport. More hassle than the e-visa.

Special

Phu Quoc Visa-Free

Phu Quoc Island has a separate 30-day visa-free exemption if you fly in directly and stay on the island - see below.

Checklist

Documents for a Vietnam e-visa

Minimal and simple - accuracy is what matters.

⚠ Get the details exactly right

The #1 cause of Vietnam e-visa delays is a mismatch between your form, passport and photo (name spelling, photo quality, passport number). We check every detail before submitting on the non-refundable fee.

The Phu Quoc exception

There's one visa-free route into Vietnam for Indians: Phu Quoc Island offers a 30-day visa-free exemption if you arrive directly at Phu Quoc and stay on the island. It's popular for beach holidays.

The catch: it applies only to Phu Quoc - if you want to visit mainland Vietnam (Hanoi, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City), you need the regular e-visa. Travelling to the mainland without one can lead to penalties. We'll advise the right option for your itinerary.
