Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1 — Leh arrival — rest, seriously
Land at 3,500 m and do beautifully little. Hydrate, stroll the market gently by evening. Acclimatisation is the itinerary today.
Day 2 — Leh local
Shanti Stupa sunrise, Leh Palace, Hall of Fame, and the confluence at Sangam with magnetic-hill theatrics en route.
Day 3 — Khardung La → Nubra
Over one of the world's highest motorable passes into Nubra. Diskit monastery's giant Buddha, camel ride on Hunder's cold-desert dunes.
Day 4 — Nubra → Pangong
The Shyok-river route to Pangong Tso. Afternoon watching the lake change colour like it's showing off. Camp night at 4,250 m.
Day 5 — Pangong → Leh
Sunrise on the lake, then back over Chang La with marmot stops. Evening at leisure in Leh.
Day 6 — Monastery morning
Thiksey's dawn prayers and Hemis monastery, then café afternoon in Leh — you've earned the apricot cake.
Day 7 — Departure
Morning flight out with the window seat you'll never forget.

- Non-AC SUV (Innova/Xylo class — AC is useless at altitude) for the full circuit

Best time to go: June to September for open passes; May and October are shoulder months with cold, clear rewards.

- · Layers: warm even in July nights at Pangong
- · Personal medication; consult your doctor about altitude if in doubt
Cancellation policy
30+ days before departure: full refund minus ₹2,500 per person processing fee.
15–29 days: 50% of the package cost is retained.
7–14 days: 75% is retained.
Under 7 days or no-show: non-refundable.
Hotel and airline penalties during peak or festival dates may be higher and are advised at booking. Wherever we can recover more on your behalf, we pass it back.

Is altitude sickness a real risk?
Real and manageable. The itinerary's two Leh nights before any pass exist precisely for this, oxygen travels in your vehicle, and we brief every guest on symptoms. Anyone with cardiac/respiratory conditions should clear it with a doctor first.
Why no AC vehicle?
AC is pointless above 3,500 m and the non-AC hill-spec SUVs are what local operators run reliably. We tell you this now rather than let it surprise you there.
