Best time to visit Kerala

October to March is the dry season and the best time for backwaters and hill stations. It is also peak season, so book ahead. April and May are hotter but fine for the hills. The monsoon (June to September) turns Kerala impossibly green and is the season for Ayurveda retreats, with lower prices, though backwater and outdoor plans can be rain-affected.
