Singapore is the trip where the visa process surprises people, because of one structural rule: Indian nationals cannot apply directly to ICA. Applications go ONLY through authorised agents. There is no embassy walk-in for tourists and no visa on arrival.
The numbers
- ICA processing fee: S$30, roughly ₹2,100 at current rates. Agents add a small authorised-agent charge on top
- Processing: 3–5 working days for clean files
- Validity: at ICA's discretion. Commonly 63 days, often up to two years for strong profiles, and multiple entry in most cases
- Stay: up to 30 days per entry, granted at the counter

The rule after the visa: SG Arrival Card
Separate from the visa, every traveller must submit the SG Arrival Card online within 3 days before arrival. It is free and quick, and we file it for every client as departure approaches. A valid visa plus a missing arrival card is an avoidable conversation at Changi.
Notes from the desk
Approval odds for tourists with normal documentation are good. Where files wobble: very recent passports with no travel history paired with thin financials, or itineraries that read like job-hunting. Neither is fatal. Both are fixable with the right supporting documents, which is the conversation to have before paying any fee.
